  I shall open it up and post a photo tomorrow Jon. It is basicaly a through neck, but just cut off proud of the box, the mandolin tail piece covers it. Then I routed a channel through the neck just so the pickup fits in. I'll get the photo done and put some notes on it & you'll see how it all goes together. Thanks for the comments.   That's encouraging to hear - I'm getting ready to work on my first magnetic pickup build which of course means a change in the neck/box attachment design. Any tips or pics on how that worked for your build?

  Thanks Jon, this one took a while. The first I've done with a mini humbucker, they sound the biz.
