My first ukulele. I chose to use a through-neck, because I'm familiar with that style, and I was doing enough experimenting on this build without having to worry about attaching a neck. As always, I used Crow's eyebolt tuners, partly because I've got them down now, and partly because I wanted to see how well they'd work with nylon strings (not as good as steel, but ok).Lesson learned: Using what you have as a substitute for what you want is not always a good choice. Instead of buying grommets to use on the sound holes, I just used the Dremel to cut off the bottom of a couple door pulls I already had. They work, but they're not worth the trouble.
