Possibilities

This box came from Santa with an assortment of cheeses and port. Having enjoyed the contents I thought that this box had musical possibilities. I can fit a neck along where I have shown in red, and I have some nice 1/8" spruce for a soundboard to fill in where the opening is. The box is about 9" square and 2.6" deep.What do you reckon - a diddley or full 3 stringer?

    Thanks for all the suggestions, fellas. I like the idea of an amp. I hadn't thoight of that.

    would make a great amp . already has wire channels cut out , and  just needs a cloth  / mesh covering  or grill..... Room for 2 speakers too.

    Just to be different, I'd go in between, and make it a 2 String Chugger, they can be a lot of fun!

    I agree with Uncle John, any bottle of port in a storm. That box looks like many possibilities. Good luck.

     That's really neat. I've been concentrating on bettering my diddley playing...(Why does that sound dirty?) and I am low on diddley-bows, so...

     But, it's your Stradivarius. Make her sing! AHAHHAHAHAH! (Sorry, couldn't resist)

    Either one, Jock.  Any port in  a storm.   Put a thin top on it.  In my case, I really like diddleys, but then seem to seldom play them.   A 3 would get more use from me.   Do you know the song "Wine Spodeeodee'?
