Well here it is my first hobo dowel. It turned out pretty good and sounds great.I used some old oak dowls that were so hard that my drill bit smoked when I put a hole in them.I love these things and always wanted to build one. Thanks again for looking and have a blessed day.

I have a piece of wood I use with marks I just copyed off my sons guitar. From what I have seen the lobo's are the same,I may be wrong but that is what I done and it sounds crazy.I used a big piezo set in hot glue.Has a real good tone. It's just like any other three string model tuned to open G.Give it a shot you wont be sorry, these things are very cool and I really hate to sell this one but the bills are a calling.Good luck and thanks for looking and for the kind words.
It looks really good. How is the sound? I want to build this style CBG at some point because I really like the sound. One reason why I haven't built one yet is I wasn't sure about the bass side, that is, about the fretting -- is it the same as a regular guitar? If not, what did you use to figure out the fret mark spacing?
