  • I think the Hickory has worked very well. I have my first CBG all but finished now, and strung with a b string, and a 65 weed eater and a 80 weed eater string. Sounds pretty good and very bassy, but I'm planning on getting some new bronze wrapped when I can get to the music store. I need to pull the tunners and finish with some clear coats. I'll post some photos as soon as I can get some batters for my camera. Howlin Owln
  • I like the hickory handle necks. My 1st CBG has a 30 year old double bit axe handle neck (it was my Dad's axe). I made a lunchbox diddley bow last week from a broken rake handle. And I have a pitchfork handle waiting for me to get around to a bass canjo that's running around in my head. All my other projects are poplar and red oak so far.
