  • well where to start, this is my fourth build ever. and by far my best. ive used a solid piece of maple for the neck, all hand rasped. an old arte cubano box, and some rose wood accents (part of the headstock, bottom, and end of the cbg) i had an old crappy acoustic that i took apart and ripped down the soundboard and applied that to the top of the box. i purchased the resonator screen cover, chrome humbucker cover and frame, the through boby elctric bridge and the abalone knobs. all for relatively cheap on ebay. the fret board is made of sepela wood stained with a red mohoghany finished and all is sealed with semi-gloss poly. the humbucker was salvaged from an old epiphone special i had laying around. and the whole thing came out great in the end i think. ive learned alot from this build, good and bad things of what to do and what not to do. this was also the first neck ive made not being a through body design. ive probably over engineered that aspect of the build to ensure nothing catastrophic would happen!! but anyways, leave a comment on what you think!!
