i use a piezo as well, and so far have had great sound , but i think i will try my next one the other way , like they say here in the nation there is no right or wrong way to build these things!
Some say yes and others no, but I believe if the lid has a little space between the lid and neck the lid will viberate more producing more sound acousticly. But I have a friend who gluded hi necks to the lid and got great sound useing just a piezo pickup. I have owned a few like that of his. They had a great sound.
yes it does, i have seen people do it this way so that is how i have been doing it, i have also seen people concave the neck in side the box and only glue at both end's but i have not tried to make one that way yet, will that make a big difference in the sound?
