The heel is rounded on all sides, and is very comfortable.The neck actually joins the body in such a way that I cut a notch in both the box and the neck. The part where I cut the notch in the neck is rounded... so you see the box wall underneath it.That probably didn't make too much sense, but the bottom line is this heel block is quite smooth and comfy to play on the upper registers.
