    Thanks Nathan. I found the wood lying around my shed but I think it might be Tasmanian oak. Finished with three coats of Scandinavian oil, which I think is just danish oil in a brand name tin. As for the sound, I don't have anything to compare it too but its pretty quiet, as the top of the box does not resonate. Sounds great plugged in though.

    It looks really good! That neck compliments the box nicely. Did you stain it, or is that natural? How does it sound?
