    Bridge was 2 accidents in 1 , Andy . Started with the "drill a hole instead of rout a groove" idea for the rod , then the lightbulb went on to just cut out the middle and leave the ends holding the rod . The slant for intonation was on purpose , but I was looking at the backside when I drilled it so the angle was backwards and had to slant the entire bridge again . Luckily hadn't cut out the top slot yet . 8^D

    Doublethick wood top and figured acoustic sound would be so-so , I rested the bridge directly on the neck thru the cutout .
