Sure, my wife had an old cassette player lying around and I did some googling. When I got through I realized all you had to do is look for the two wires for the cassette, remove them from the mother board. In their place put a female guitar jack. I did snoop around and remove the wires to the recording mike. Probably did not need to do that. But I thought it cleaned it up a bit. If you google portable amp, or even Cigar Box Amp you should find all the information. There are several write-ups on this topic. The guys here love to share their smarts. Hope this helps. I thought it was going to be hard until I got into it. Main thing is to take your time and enjoy the research and challenge. Especially on how to fit the components into your own preferred box. By using this method I am able to use the other options within the old cassette recorder. Like, external power supply, the volume on the cassette acts like a gain, and I’m wondering if the headphone jack will work. I haven’t seen a need for that though. Have a great time and if I can help more would love to. No electronic dude though.
Hi Tim,
I'm looking for a Portable Amp to do some busking. Actually I exhibit at a booth on the street for an Art Guild, I'm a Craftsman, not an artist, lol. Can you tell me what the Amp is and what the power is, please?
Thanks.
