You got the eye appeal. I am a hard grader. You say and I can tell by looking that it is a player. I think I can score it a 9.2 to 9.4. Man, those F holes are dandy.
I was going more for an "80 years of palm grime" look more so than a burned look. But just so long as it has eye appeal I guess that is all that matters. No open flames for me.... ;-)
Actually, the only burn is the cig burn on the bottom edge. Top corner is just a bunch of stain, ink and grime worked into the wood. Sounds beautiful, will get around to posting a video if I can ever find the time.

Over and out.
Excellent on the sound. Well, the burn look alike fooled me and looks great. Are you not allowed to play with fire?
Have you been playing with fire again? Super lookin uke. Love the relic job.
Action looks good without a bone type saddle. I notice this because I strung up my uke today for the first time and I need a MUCH taller bridge. :(
Nice photo too. Keeping in mind it takes a while to get the strings stretched.... How does it play and sound?
