Here's my old TJ after I moved back to NY. I have a 47 Willys 2A that I'm rebuilding and I have a JKL daily driver.

  • Too cool Eric, I knew your mojo went bejont the fret board.  nice trip . I had a homeades cj5 that i vortec't and sm465  to dana 44's  for doing our over the hill trips . but like you sock mittens and bikini tops aint fun when you are crawling out of a dome tent. plus  the gear and dog room was miniman. So i went the xj route . I think the articulation on these guys is dynomite too.  We have a pack mule jeeper that is an old postal jeep like earth lovrs , but 4x4 and the gal who drives it carrys water and gas . ( gas on the outside )    already have a swampy plate on it baby !!

  • yeeeehawh  ..

needs a swamp witch  lic  plate  frame  ;-)

  • That was in July.  Camped in Silverthorne, Moab, La Sal, Crested Butte.  Just a bikini top on the Jeep, 12 gallons of fresh water and clean socks on our hands for mittens in the morning!

  • Jeepers!

I had an '01 TJ that I bought from Elway in Golden.  I lived there from '00 to '03.  I had it hung up on Red Elephant Hill near Georgetown/Empire with less than 1000 miles on the clock.

Took a big summer trip from Golden through Silverthorn, Grand Junciton, Moab, over Cottonwood Pass, into Buena Vista, Gunnison, South Park and back to Golden.  Stayed off pavement as much as possible.
