Ha, yes they do weigh in at 500 + but I got this one home and slid it off my trailer and tore it apart, kept the good pieces and cut down some of the larger ones. I still have the top which is really fine wood, and I may use that for a coffee table or something. It will takes me quite awhile to use up all the wood I saved.
Nice tonal wood. They use a ton of fine spruce in them old pianos that people are throwing or giving away today. Problem is those old pianos weigh 500+ Lbs.
