  • Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with it. All the wood is recycled. The only new stuff on it is the nails in the pickups, the magnet wire, the tuners, strings, frets glue, tung oil and glue, the switch and the stereo pot. Estimated cost maybe $30.

S J F thanks I used to hate strats when I was a kid cos too easy to hit the vol control when I was bashing out chords. What can I say but that as you get older and better and especially when you get a real decent amp rather than using overdrive pedals you start to really use the controls more and they become an essential part of your sound. You also learn the control and finesse to play around em so you don't knock em unintentionally. What was in the way suddenly becomes a tremendous convenience when u wanna do volume swells (this is why the master volume knob is so big, more control) and tone knob Wah kinda things.. So to answer your question I'd say it's pretty convenient for me but I would've seen it exactly as you do once.
  • Nice work Jef. That turned out great.

  • nice design. How is the playing with knobs that close to the strings?
