Headstock logo

My way of doing it is with steel letter/number punches, and then tracing over with a fine point Sharpie prior to staining/oiling.

  • Go ahead, assume away. I think I got the spelling wrong. I should have spelt the word "palaver". If I were to replace it with "rigmarole", would it help you?

  • blimey! What a plarva. I've yet to treat the wood I use at all, but this is something I'll keep in mind.

  • Thank you. This is a maple neck w/ poplar fretboard. Sanded down to 2000 grit, a good wet coat of Minwax Ebony stain, then immediately wipe away all excess stain and then apply 3 coats of Minwax Antique Oil.
