Getting closer. I've added a plate under the eyeball so I can screw that down without having to put screw holes in my eye (ouch!). The pup is a JUJU one eye. Made a nose bridge and lip tailpiece.

Thanks Anders. i'm varnishing today. Also went to get a 250k volume pot and a jack and a parts bin tuner for her. I'm on 3rd coat. She's coming alive... I'm going to use a small tea box with peaches on it for the control box to hold the volume and jack. It will screw to the tail via a sliding lid. I'll have easy access to the controls without having to open the sound box. If it doesn't look right, I'll change it out easily for a solid wood box with a routed pocket for the controls. At the used music shop i found a new old Harmony lap steel. I had credit there from a recording devise I cashed in a while back. I knew that recorder credit would come in handy for the right guitar. This is the right guitar... Sounds great. Must be from the 40s or early 50s. Hardwired chord with all original parts. I'll post photos when the sun shines again. ... Dave
