    Thanks guys! Maddog, the scale freaked me out a bit. Still need a longer string. D'Addario Super Longs weren't available locally.

    Too cool Craig! I have been on the hunt for a paddle for just such a build, building it for a friend who is in the middle of a Missouri River source to sea kayak journey as we speak. I need to find a shorty paddle though as I want the scale around 22"-24".
