After hemming and hawing about how I should go about this, I’ve decided to take Shane’s and others around here advice to heart and just shut up and build something of my own to play. I’ve decided to not over think, start easy and build myself a 25” scale fretless. Hopefully, this little banger will help me work the bugs out of my build approach. So there you have it. Armed with an abundance of ideas stolen from others, my first CBG is underway.Wish me luck ladies and gent’s. I think I’m gonna need it ;)RC

Agreed, Steve. If I didn't have to be at work at 6:30am tomorrow and I thought the glue would hold without clamps, I'd keep at it and be playing it before the clock struck midnight. I got the remainder of my fretboard "filler" glued and clamped and that's going to be about it for the night. It will be about It's going to be Tuesday or Wednesday before I get back to it.
Probably a good thing though. Patience never being my strong suit, I'd probably pop the clamps, keep working on it and hope for the best ;)
I'm sure hoping that that's the here case, Robert. I had a break in the action this afternoon and figured that I should just have at it. Not shooting for the moon here and will be happy as heck if it just turns out to be a player.
I've always found that fretting over how to go about it and over planning just makes it take longer to finish the build. once you get your first one done, you'll know what to do and what not to do the next and so on, you'll develop a style

I have just built #1 and have started to teach myself (Amazing Grace).
I am no expert but I would say... Build it fast then play it, have fun.
Cheers,
Steve
