Yep looking good for the first build every build your learn something new most of all keep it fun, I can see you like to use what’s at hand keeping it primal as Shane says , good luck with the future builds .
Definitely going to factory tuners after this. No finesse to the eyebolts in regards to tuning. Would like to stick with a slot head design on future build but will try the three to a side classical center hole tuners next time.
Dead Crops is the name of the neo-folk/dark folk project I’ll be starting once these guitars are up and running.
Wise words from our Uncle John. Just take him with a tweek of salt. Besides, when you’ve filled every available space with guitars and boxes in your home, you can quit building and just tweek em the rest of your life.
Hey, most of our builds need tweaked. Sometimes they don't seem to at first and that is kind of magical, but even those will benefit from a tweak or two later on. This one of yours looks really good and it's cool fun to use those home made machine heads. They (IMO) are going to need a lot of tweaking. Change it up next time with some factory tuners.
I like your name and I hope it is not too truthful. Heat and lack of good rains are scaring us down here in Iowa.
Welcome to CBGs and have fun. I often recommend knotlenny's CBG 101 as great start on playing. Google it or find it under resources at page top.

Good luck on the project. Your slot head looks dandy. For some more to look at, check out Dave Lynas's photos. He does some cool heads.
