Had some real nice pieces of flamed maple and mahogany given to me that were sitting around for months until I got the bright idea: "Why not make a lap steel? It'll be easy, right? It's just a board, some twiddly bits and a pickup. Easy, right?" Wrong. It took nearly 2 weeks to get this up 'n running. Nice, though. Now I know I need a router.
