  • Bowl isn't secured to the box. The lip around the edge keeps it from falling in as long as you don't make the hole too wide (a mistake I've made) and the tension from the strings holds it in place. Loosen the strings and the bowl just falls out
  • OK I get that with the dowell rods I've done that...great!! What did you mount the bowl with? I LIKE THAT IDEA!!! A LOT!!

  • It's actually about an eighth of an inch below the surface. The bridge is just under half an inch with notches so the strings sit about 1/4 inch above the surface.
    I may go back and raise the nut a hair and lower the bridge to even the string height a little better
  • THAT IS SO COOL HOW HIGH IS THE BOWL ABOVE THE SURFACE OF THE BOX OR IS IT FLUSH? I CAN'T TELL FROM THAT PICTURE..
