  • Beauty, pure beauty!  Don't know what it is about this look that trips my trigger, but.....

  • Donut mold.
  • This is a nice solution. They look great in person, too!

  • Yeah, thanks for clearing that up.  I have always liked the resonators but haven't had terrific results building them.  Maybe now...

  • Thanks Gary and Raven, the plywood is 1/2" because that's what I had laying around, you can use most anything that can take some abuse. The 1" sides can be removed or not, sometimes I just notch out to go over the neck. To mount them I cut a hole in the box the diameter of the can, there's a small lip around the edge that sets on the top of the box and prevents it from sliding through. You can hear one being played in Mr. C's last several videos. He has one and uses it alot. The holes I use as decoration but could double as sound holes too. Hope this clears up things alittle.

  • That seems real neat.  There are some details missing.  Is the Ply 1/2".  Does the 1" of can side get removed after hammering?  What are the holes for?  How do you fasten to the CBG top?  Thanks for posting that.  Very interesting.  And can you let us know how it sounds after it is finished?

  • I'd love to hear how it sounds.
