This box was a surprise in every way. A small, mahogany box, I was originally going to make diddley-bow. Then I went 'grande' and made it a 6-string (double courses of three strings)! My gawd! It sounds like a little Indian vina, with all the sympathetic, droning mojo you could ask for in such a compact package. Tuned C-G-c, this puppy has invited all sorts of Asian/Middle Eastern sounding melodic minor ramblings. The P-90 style pickup makes for a HUGE sound. Since this photo, I've upgraded the tuners to black enclosed tombstones. This has become one of my favorite performance axes!
