A CBG sized package came in the mail today. I was not expecting anything..... The labels said it came from Ontario, Canada. I suspected the Anonymous Pick was up to something.He was. I opened the package to find this great gift witch and shirt. I am better at giving than receiving, but after a little while to play it and get used to the idea... I am on board, happy and thankful. This baby played and sounded great right out of the box.There are lots of good builders out there. IThis witch was good right out of the box. Pick excels in is theme guitars. Give him an idea and he will come up with a great theme build that also is a good player. I have admired a lot of those theme builds and now I have one.Thanks, Pick!PS: That's a Dandy Dave Lynas slide on my finger.

You guys act like you are a big family. So kind, inspiring, giving and loving behaviour. I'm only a month a CBN member, already addicted in building, and i have found great people here with huge minds and ideas. I hope this will last for very long time.
This is a very great offer Pick and you made it to the right person. Couldn't be better.
The witch sounds and looks perfect, especially in the hands of UJ.
Guys, this is the morning after- and I like the witch even more. I just sat here in the den and played my KC fest set on it. I love the good, thoughtful and personalized art work on this - but I was thinking as a I played it - if this had none of the artwork and I was just judging it for how it felt, played and sounded - then I would be a bit surprised at how well it feels, plays and especially sounds. And how much I like it.
That mag pup is EXCELLENT. The action is spot on for how I play and the intonation shines. The neck is not particularly rounded, but feels and plays comfortable Those little metal adornments in the upper left are perfect for me to anchor a finger in when I play my comfortable old thumb style.
I will take the witch to KC fest for others to see and try. I am still on the fence as to whether to play it or my relic build with a Dan Sleep pickup.
Bad thing about the witch. It is putting me in a building mood. Not sure what I want to do. But this one and Wade's Terraplane hub cap build are inspiring me to something not yet visualized.
Nice git Pick, and also very nice thing to do. Ditto what Dave said! Uncle John treats everyone the same on the Nation. He inspires and encourages in equal parts.....a great Iowegian! ;-}
Thanks for the kind words, folks. And for the cookie, Pick. Went to open mic last night - lots of super good players and singers there. I played uke and harp blues the first time up and the witch for my four song second set. Those folks have heard me play CBGs. But the Swampy still got quite a bit of notice. :)
