simple uke, glue together 2 pieces of 1" x 1/2"... the smaller one goes from the inside edge of the box up to about the 12th fret of the neck... with a 45• angle at the end. this will add extra support to the neck... will also prevent the "headstock is heavier than the body therefor the guitar falls to the side" effect..!
Hi. Saw your question about fret spacing and not sure that you got an answer. It's diatonic fretting as used on mountain dulcimers and similar instruments. It gives you the notes of one scale (major or minor) without the other frets that would be used on chromatic fretted instruments like guitars. Hope that helps and makes sense.
Hey it's a good addiction, isn't it!?!?!?!?
I know the yard work all to well. Then again as soon I'm done with that, I'm either down in the basement building and/or destroying/ tweaking something. Or rescuing my older sister from her two little ones, all before night class!
Ya caught me, I can't denie it I do. But now I'm hooked on diddly bows and cbgs.I got done with my first one over the weekend and did some bridge modifing on it today.
Hello, the best of the holidays to you as well, A Meteorite Pick-up is one that I took a real slab cut from a real meteorite , and made a one of a kind winding, with the wire directly around the(meteorite) slab for that part of the Pick-up : )
I have started my first build. I am waiting on some parts to come in to answer some questions. Not sure how much to undercut the neck where the tuners go etc. What do you use at the bottom of the neck where the strings go through? I will update you next week, I should make good progress once my parts get here, I picked out a piece of maple for the neck and have fitted it to the box.
