Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee
No probs, if you are around at the CBG fest we'll get you sorted. Whilton Mill isn't so far away from Brum, maybe I'll try and get along! I know what you mean about not going so fast, I find I'm really knackered after 30 laps of racing..I really need to get fit and loose some weight...but spending my evenings playing the blues & drinking in all sorts of low down bars doesn't help.
Terry - do you mean you want to join the Brits are Coming Group? Just click on Groups near top of page, then find the Brits Group and click on it. Then at top right next to your login name you'll see + join group. Click on it and that's about it I think.
Hi Terry..another karter!!! I race a Subaru prokart at Stretton (Leicester). I used to do a lot of karting in my youth at Wombwell (Barnsley, Yorkshire)....I remember doing the lapscoring when we held the 100cc British Championships there. I also recall Paul Fletcher letting me have a drive when he was testing his brand new Taifun....how cool was that!!! I keep looking at some of the old karts that comes up on ebay..sort of got a hankering for that old-style karting when it was all relatively nice and simple...just saw an old Blow Meteor Class IV rolling chassis go for not much at all. What are you running at the moment?
Anyhow, I'll see if I can do a little tuning video of some 4 string stuff for you to see if that can be of any help. Do you want to play fretted, slide or a mixture of both?
Hi Terry..problems tuning your guitar..is that a mechanical thing (ie something bust or not working) or can't you find the right notes? If it's the latter, let me know how many strings, fretted or fretless, scale length (string length from nut to bridge saddle) and I can do a little tuning video for you to tune up to...with a few alternatives.
Description: Yes folks, it's on!!!All day event, with meet-up, workshops..and a headline gig featuring the renowned HOLLOWBELLY!!As this is a first time event, just give us a shout if you want to play, or if there is anything in particular you want to see or do.
