Read more…Does anyone adjust the with of their necks, particularly at the nut? I find that 1.5 inches is too much string spacing for a 3 stringer, but would work OK for a 4 string CBC. I was thinking 1 inch would work better for a 3 string.

Read more…Has anyone used uke tuners on their conventional CBG builds. I'm looking at 24.5 inch scale tuned to DAD or GBE/CGC type builds. Would these little tuners hold up? Secondly, do you think they would be OK for dulcimer/dulcitar builds?

Poplar neck, dollar store box, drapery grommet, and tuning machines from the local music store. The next challenge is to get it tuned and learn something.
