You all have definitely rolled out the welcome mat for me... Many thanks for the kind words.
For those who are interested -
I made the guitar as a xmas gift for my 18yo son. Taught him a few chords a few years back, and he was soon playing circles around me. He was also a varsity tennis player in HS. Racquet was my mother's from when she was in HS - early '50s. Top is from an old piano soundboard I stashed away years ago. Bridge and nut from some scraps of lignum vitae. Pickup, control pots, and tuners from CBGitty.
It doesn't produce much acoustically - top is too thick and the box is too small - but it rocks through an amp! That pickup has sweet and rich clean tones, and a nice full raunch when cranked. With moderate overdrive and lots of reverb it does a great southwest/lonesome sound - think Ry Cooder's Paris, Texas soundtrack.

Post Script: Oh, yea, LongJohn. Welcome and exactly what Robert Stapleton said... Thanks, Robert for reminding me of my manners.
Welcome.
With one post you have joined and risen to the top tier of the unusual instrument builders here. That is one beautiful tennis racket guitar.
