Read more…so i know this wood is very common for building acoustic bodies but it doesn't seem so popular for fingerboards. is it a bad idea to use agathis for a fingerboard, would the fret wire break it? it seems to be a durable wood.

Read more…i got a fonseca box that i want to make an acoustic out of. the lid is pretty thick and gets thicker near the middle. the bottom however is a thin peice of wood. I'm leaning in the direction of the bottom as the sound board. suggestions please.
