Corian for trade

I have been given some gift cards to home depot and was wondering this:
If you could only have one for building cbgs which would it be? a tabletop band saw or a scroll saw?
I have heard arguments for both and want to make my choice wisely.

Could someone explain to me the difference in a zero fret and a nut and the benefits/drawbacks of each?
Big box store necks
I picked up 4 Red Oak neck blanks from home depot. I don't think they are 100% straight though. Anyone have any tricks that don't involve me buying a tabletop planer?
No band saw - headstock cutting

Is there a standard size for tuners/machine heads or does it vary? I just ordered mine from back porch mojo and was wondering what size hole to drill in preparation for it.
