my 1st cbg a diddley bow one stringer,tuned to G.not sure as yet was it should be for a one stringer. the cigar box was made out of card board,thought it might be of wood.

its only a small one.

so I had to put some wood lining etc to give it strength,never made any thing remotely like a guitar.

the nearest I got was putting piccolo strings onto my old bass since sold.

yep kept the strings  so these will go onto my violin bass! 

I was surprise that there wasn't a great deal of mess.

most of the work was on the neck and I made three of them.will start on a biscuit tin tomorrow as the neck is already made ,just need a little finishing .

this will be a 3 stringer! I actually enjoyed making them.

I've always been a metal worker most of my life.

the only tools that I had for wood was a mini belt sander,angle grinder,drill,hack saw and sand paper.

heat gun,glue gun and soldering iron.also tight bond. the whole lot inc wood cost me about £6.50

I thought I'll add a bit of novelty to the cbg.
