  • Ian,

The plan is: 8BA flathead bored out mild cam, old Edmunds heads, old Sharp 4bbl intake, old Carter wcfb carb(this may change for drivability) MSD distributer, 5 speed T5 tranny, 9inch ford rearend. Disk brake up front on solid axle front. Slightly lowered with a Posi's reverse eye spring up front and a parallel leaf mounting kit in the back. Get it running and drive it. As you can see from the pic the body work and paint are done, yes its purple. Many many things still need to be done. I imagine you don't see to many '36 Ford coupes in the UK do you?

    Hi,

Well the '36 ford is my all time favourite car, particularly the Jack Calori coupe and the Pierson Bros cars and the recent modern customs by Jon Fisher and the Cole Foster built coupe for Micheal Anthony plus of course the John Mearns coupe built by Jeb Scolman as seen in March 2011 issue of R&C.

I'd love to won one someday..........

What plans do you have for yours ?

    Regards,

  • 305700320?profile=originalOk, slow to re-post here.  Yes I have a '36 Ford. I've had it since about 1988 so lets just say its a long term project. My dad's was my inspiration, he had a '36 hot rodded back in '49. I couldn't find any good shots but here is my car and my '75 Triumph Trident.

  • You've got a '36 5w coupe project ! WOW lucky fella, this is one of my most favourite cars of all time, the first one being the late Jack Calori's 'classic' '36 3w coupe custom.......ohh if only i won the lottery !

Had to join so I could chime in! Way cool EMW, My granmothers boyfriend had a B MW simular to that. Thanks for adding the before shot, really shows your mods, the result is well done. What make is the car?
Neat bicycle too, I really like the side hack bike, I could use one of those for postal trips.
No picture at the moment but my project is a '36 Ford 5 window, oh and I have a couple bicycles and a few motorcycles. I think we all have the same disease, stuffitus.

  • you had some cool bikes there Matt.
  • That's very cool! I really like the motorcycle. I was super into motorcycles for a while. I still have a few around, but I used to have dozens. Nothing as nice as yours though. (you can see pictures here: http://bikepics.com/members/fixedschwinn/) I realized I wasn't that good at keeping them running, which made it less fun. Now I'm into bicycles. Those I can usually keep running and have a lot of fun building and riding.
