Hi, I'm new here, and have become really fascinated with the idea of making and playing CBGs. (OK - I admit it - it was seeing Paul McCartney using one with Nirvana that reminded me that I wanted to try doing this...)
What I'm curious about is examples of people playing 3-string or 4-string CBGs for types of music other than the country blues, Southern rock, grunge kind of stuff that just about every video shows. I've been playing trichordo (3-string) Greek bouzouki for a while, mostly rembetika and other Greek, Turkish and Middle-Eastern influenced music, and I'm anxious to try some of that stuff (as well as some more experimental stuff) on the CBG.
I'd love to see what others have done with music other than the sort of rootsy stuff that you mostly see in the videos. (Which is great, btw - I've been playing the blues for over 45 years now, and I love it - just curious about other uses of the CBG.)
- Mike
