  • First off, there's nothing unique about Cigar box instruments. Any guitar, uke, banjo, dulcimer or trombone template will work. Oops, trombones don't have fretboards.

    If you want a metal or lucite template, try Stewert-Mac or Luthier Mercantile International Inc.

    Paper templates? You can print out your own off of some web pages.

  • a great alternative is to use a template ruler from Darren Dukes of BackPorch Mojo.... He's a member here.. look him up
  • Here's an easy to use template for the 24.5 scale. I used it and it worked great for me.
