  • Those strings must be very close to the soundboard to hammer on so easily.

    That's some instrument.

    • Be a job fretting one "fretts are pyramidal shaped and its played more like a piano actually. Definitely something I would love to have.
  • I couldn't open the URL you posted Bill, but found this; amazing. http://ow.ly/nncY303chbW

    • Yeah Al ,this is the video I was talking about. This guy was the first I ever heard playing a "Chapman Stick". I heard somewhere other than YouTube ,but this is the exact video that got me talking about this thing. Sure is amazing sounding. Bill I couldn't get the link you posted to open either for some reason ,but anyways this is the video that my brother in-law sent me last night and I was amazed to say the least.
  • Thanks bill ,wasn't sure how to add this for everyone to see. The "Chapman Stick" resembles A "Megatar" wikipedia said the "Chapman Stick" made in the 70's comes in different models as far as a 12 string which is called "Grand Stick" 6 bass strings on top/6 rhythm under the 6 bass. They make a 10 string which is 5&5 etc. They sound AMAZING! Expensive! Cheapest I seen used was a little over $1,500 "used" ,but I was just curious if anyone on here has ever made one or play one. I never knew they existed until a family member sent me a video of a guy playing one and it was amazing to say the least.
