Hello,
I have a "pair of bleach enclosed 4-pole pickups" that I bought from C. B. Gitty ( p/n: 54-017-01 ) that I was planning to use as a pair. On my current build I don't have the room for the pair and was wondering if there is any reason I couldn't separate the pair and use them indivually?
Thanks,
Chuck

If you refer to a connected pair of bass pickups, yes, as G. Rider said you can split them and use just one. You may need to solder/splice a couple wires onto the ones left short from cutting/separating, but it will work fine.

Thanks, I assumed that was the case but when I noticed the magnetic poles on the pickups were reversed from each other and the wire color connecting them was black I thought I would ask someone who has had experience with it.

I do it all the time. You'll probably have to extend the leads.

I don't see why not.
