walnut neck

should i use a truss rod for a wallnut neck im building 2 guitars 1 with a 1 in neck 1 with a 3/4 in neck

They both should be fine without truss rods. As long as you are staying with 3-4 strings, the tension should not be a factor. If you are making 6 strings, then you should consider using one.
