Anyone else have some experience with 'tacky wax'? My wife had some in her craft supplies. I have seen people recommend a touch of wax on the end of a screw to ease it in and decided to try this out. Just a dab on the end of a screw and it goes in easily due to the wax, but it also has tacky properties to it and so gives it a bit of a grip once seated. Makes getting those little tuning machine screws in so much easier! It's available at craft stores under that name.

I run the screws through what is left of my hair and even that little bit of lubrication helps a great deal.
Nothing fancy needed to help screws in.. a bar of soap or a candle will do the job.
Lightly scraping the threads across a bar of soap works pretty well too.
I keep an old bar of soap on the edge of the work bench just for that purpose. Works great.
