Small boxes.

I got my 2 year old a ukulele for christmas, and I have taken a liking to it so Im planning one now. The box that I have set aside for it is a little romeo y julietta box that is just shy of 7 inches on the long side. So that brings me to the question, what is the smallest box you have ever used for an instrument?

    Diane, when you use metal, does the neck go through the box, or you bolt it to a piece of wood on the other side? Also, do you glue the inside blocks to the metal? with what type of glue? I've got some metal boxes from Christmas.

    The CBG I just built has a 8.75 x 5 x 2.75 box with a 24" scale. It works.

    6" length is the smallest I've gone, both wood and metal. Then I use a 15" scale length.
