In process for about 6 months, actually started before I reverted to CBG's.

I think you can see some of the influence  from CBG's  that I've continued   to use in my guitar builds. My standard base for a build is a Telecaster, simple and easy to build, but after 5 or 6, it started to get...boring's not the word...but I needed more challenge and excitement. So though all my guitars are Tele-based as far as neck pocket and most pup choices, body and construction style can vary a lot.

This one is a Tele/SG hybrid with P94 pups.  Skeletonized plywood sandwich core with Masonite top and back. The body by itself weighed just a bit more than 1.5 pounds.

  • Thanks. Per the template pic, I'm thinking of a Firebird next...

  • That is cool.! I've always loved Dano constuction. Back in the early 1990's there used to be a company in Illinois that would make you a Dano body in any shape for any neck, cheap. I always regreted not placing an order. But I've had plenty of Danoelectro's .,., I nice looking guitar you've built there..

  • Wow! That looks great.

    • Thanks. As with all my builds, the camera hides a multitude of sins...
