I posted over in the intro section but thought I'd share my first build here also. Thanks to all you old timers for sharing all the information and knowledge that made my build possible.
It is a dog bowl reso. The neck is maple with a walnut fret board. Body is a home built box from 3mm. birch plywood with a cedar top. I built the biscuit bridge from maple and wenge wood that I had laying around.Other than the wenge wood all supplies were sourced at the local big box store.
I am a sheet metal worker by trade so the tail pc. was an easy fab. I installed a piezo under the bridge and also used a C.B. Gitty snake oil pup. The mag pup has a volume knob and the piezo is always hot. I took the advice found here and installed diodes to keep the two happy together. Hope you enjoy looking and build no. 2 will be done tomorrow.
By the way I can't play a lick but I am trying to learn when I'm not busy building......I'm hooked.
