I've been filming quick little 1-minute videos for the cbgs I'm selling on eBay. When I went to make a video for this guitar, I started to fall in love the the feel and tone of it. The video is like 4 minutes long. DOH! (I'm tempted to keep the axe for myself!) since the camera was really close, I also give a quick lesson on the stubby slide technique. Hope it helps.

I am sympathetic, as a fellow uncomfortably rotund reluctant dieter, but...........
When you watch Pinecone Fletcher wailing on his CBG, do you notice his body size?
Point is, dont sweat it too much....... Let the music do the talkin' (Joe Perry)
Good going and congrats on the quick sales Shane, I'd pick up the last one in a moment if I was currently in the market for another 3 stringer, I like the poverty reso but have my eye on something else right now.
I hear what Mark's sayin' about don't sweat how you look on vid too much. My two vids, I look like hell, was sick in one of 'em, was wearin' baggy clothes because of combined body self-consciousness, an IDGAF attitude, and it was chilly in the house. Hopefully, the music spoke louder than the image of a tired 52-year-old ;-0
Then again, John Belushi as Joliet Jake could turn a somersault...hmmm.
Maybe we should all just get together as the BluesBellies? >:-E
Looks like all the 3-stringers I listed last week have sold except for this one. I had fun with it...it's the first Poverty Dobro I've made. Really has a stabbing staccato playability to it. Makes me wanna do the fast sitar runs on it. This video shows how different tunings affect the overall sound. A generic vid just doesn't cut it when you have something different...
Poverty Dobro on eBay.
The King........ Thanks for the tutorial.
Hey, I love the quick basic tutorials, more please!
Just a suggestion (or two)
1: It would be nice to see both hands more clearly, maybe a better camera angle. Sounds like you are alternating between cross picking and some finger picking.
2: This would be a great spot for a link to your e-bay ads....... Just sayin'
It's tough to get both hands in the camera, especially when I want to show detail. I also kept the camera close on these vids simply because I've yet to lose weight and I hate seeing my fat ass on Youtube. I'll try to get better angles on my next vids.

Thanks for picking this one up, Oily!
As another one of the Lard Blessed, I'm thinkin' you could always (temporarily) place yourself behind a black fabric screen with two armholes cut into it...or there may be some video masking tricks that I don't know about, that could just show your disembodied hands playing...
Awesome!
Shane,
Nebbermind. I just grabbed it offa the Bay. I'm planning on keeping this one in the States, for when I'm there on vacation.
I guess that proves the point of playing it sells it. Nice cbg, nicer playing.
