  • I only use tung oil now. gives it a great natural look. just make sure let it dry in between coats
  • I don't think you would need to wax it. Try the tung oil on a scrap piece first. After several coats and rubbing it out, you will be surprised how silky smooth it can be. It depends on the wood and how smooth you sand it. I don't wax any of mine.

  • Nice work - I second the vote for Tung oil - it is good stuff - easy to apply, just give it a couple 3 or 4 coats with plenty of time to soak in between them.
  • You could just leave it natural wood and put some tung oil on it. Looks good so far!
