    Mark, at the bottom of the chat window there is a speaker icon next to the smiley face. You can turn the sound down with the slider.

    While we're on the subject of design, is there a setting somewhere in the site design that will allow me to turn off the annoying alerts from the built in chat system. I've tried setting myself to "offline" but even then I seem to keep getting beeps when people are using chat. It's very annoying if if I'm trying to listen to music or watch videos on here. I've looked through all the personal settings pages and can't find any setting to deactivate it. If I've missed something can someone point it out to me?

    Thanks Shane. Any idea what happened? Hacked or did Ning have a seizure?

    I know its a lot of work, and it made me consider the loss if all the content here were to go poof!

    The growth here in just a recent short period has been at a pretty impressive rate. Popularity has its costs though. I cant even go to my usual sources for boxes locally anymore without often hearing someone beat me to them. And the free and cheap sources are wising up too!

    Still not sure about this, improved from earlier today, but its kinda "cluttered" and "busy". Hard on my eyes. Maybe I just am not good with change.

    Looking good Shane!   It would be a nice touch to get rid of some of the extra space above the main logo banner (especially for those of us on devices with small screens), but the new color scheme is nice!

    Wow - it's changing every time I come back to read a comment.  Now that I know you aren't intending to make it all shiny and metro-sexual, it's sort of funny.

     

    Good luck beating the system Shane! I'd offer help but I'm only skilled with Wordpress, not Ning - sorry. :(
