Hi all, been looking at CBG for a while. I was contemplating building one myself but the task seems daunting to me. I have all the tools you could need to build one but I'm just lazy. I'd rather commission a builder to build one. I've been looking at daddy mojo and was contemplating a $1300 model but I'm wondering if there's anyone else out there that builds 6 string cigar box guitars.
I'd be looking for something that has 2 pickups in it, volume, tone and switch.
Something like this

or this

But perhaps something really fancy. I'd like to commission a builder to do something really cool.
Anybody?

Thanks Guys, Von @ Smokestack is gunna build me something really badass. I'm so stoked about this. Von is a super cool guy to work with, down to every detail. I got gas BAD.....
Watched some of his videos and those guitars just ooze swamp, which is exactly what I'm after. I figure I'll coax about 20 more tunes for my band out of one of these monsters.
I could sell you two 3 strings for less than half that. : )

If you are happy to import from the UK then these UK sellers have 6 string CBGs up for sale
on their websites at the moment http://www.randyroosterscigarboxguitars.com/page6.htm or http://www.chickenbonejohn.com/page3.htm
The 6 string group http://www.cigarboxnation.com/group/6stringcigarboxguitars is worth a look through - it might give you a few ideas what you want to build or have built.
Pfffffffffff...............
They say the economy is bad? Whenever I call someone to do something it's like pulling teeth to find anybody to do anything. I called Red Dog, he only does 3 strings now. So I'm looking for either 4 string or 6 string. Didn't contemplate 4 strings till I watched some of the videos.
There are a good number of builders who would love to take on that task.
You could start with Josh Gayou:
http://smokehouseguitars.com/
Or John McNair:
http://reddogguitars.com/
That should get you started on your search. I am sure some other builders will jump in here.
