Bolt nut starting point for fret lay out

HI ,On my 2nd cbg build.Have not use a bolt for the nut .So iam think the center point of the bolt would be the fret line to start with to bring your scale down the neck.Can anyone tell me if this i the correct or not (cutting in fret so i want to make sure iam thinking right)Thank you Moon

    Yep, the highest point on the bolt where the string sits is where you want to measure from. Where it actually makes contact with the bolt...
