Probably, I had a stranger idea involving a reverb spring but yeah lipstick pup maybe. ( and this is why I am moving to other projects.. hoping when I get back to this its simply an awesome design )

I think a lipstick style pickup would be even more compact and look cooler.

That is actually sorta what I was thinking driving home last night.. Definitely could be made to work somehow with the 3 strings..
would basically just work with a 1 string canjo straight up.

Well, I wasn't even originally thinking going electric, have other projects to get to... But a redesign for a Mag does sound in order down the line.

It do look cool.  Sounds fun too.  Yup, on what E said.  Piezos are good, but at some point, try a  mag pup which might make that canjo sound big as a mountain.  I like the Gitty bass mag pups. Cheap and good.

Mag pickup would be nice, but not sure how I could implement it on this thing... maybe one of them slim profile humbuckers? Even then might have to cut into the neck to install, the action isn't all that high on this...

Maybe a tone / volume knob between the piezo and the psycho knob ??? What might be the best wiring here, anyone?
