My second tin build and first electric

This is my first build...At the beginning the tin was different, I added this tin for more depth.

I've only put together two so far (both combinations of cookie-tin bottom friction fit to lidess cigar boxes and 1/8" spacers to let the sound out) and i've encountered a slight problem on both...when attempting to fit a piezo under the bridge, my poor practice amp nearly blew its speaker! So to those of you who electrify your Tin-tars...do you dampen the piezo with 'potting' or sandwiching between thin wood, do you use a less optimal spot to place the pick-up or do you just get a full-sized amp that can handle the volume and Rock Out? At present I only have the 9V practice amp to test the pickups for those who want such, and play my own (if you can call my spastic flailing 'playing') acoustic..

This one was my first build back in March when I got started on this stuff. Working on builds 9 and 10 now, both Cigar Boxes, but I have three more Cookie Tins waiting in the closet and have built four canjos in between the other boxes. Love the canjos for fast fun builds.

here's my one and only 'tinjo' made for Jamie Macblues a couple of years ago, gathered plenty of tins since but never built another. i feel inspired by these pics
