Boxstock is back!!!
The UK Cigar Box Guitar Festival returns with a packed programme. Headlining with a guaranteed rip-roaring performance from the one and only Hollowbelly. Also on the bill are Chickenbone Blues (the full band featuring the amazing Dave Smith on harmonica), newcomers the Dusk Brothers and special guest Cap'n Catfish from Germany.
It's a great opportunity to meet up with everyone who's anybody on the cigar box guitar scene. The Venue is The Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton, a pukka music venue. It's easily accessible off the motorway and rail networks, with plenty of parking close by.
During the daytime (free entry) there will be trade stands with cigar box guitars on display and for sale, a "Make and Play" workshop where you can make your own cigarbox guitar (ticket required) and an all day open open mic. I've already had people asking about playing, but as time in the evening is limited and the bill is already full, we will be running all day open mic sessions. I'm sure this will be popular, so if you want to play, please message me and I'll do my best to fit everyone in. Also, if you are a guitar maker and want to come and display your wares, it's just £30 for a trading spot.
